Governor Hillary Clinton (NY-Dem)

Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

It does have a nice ring. Let me say, I was not at all surprised by Spitzer's downfall--it seemed inevitable after troopergate this past summer. I am a New Yorker, and I voted for his oppenent in the primary, Tom Suozzi. I never liked Spitzer because he always seemed to have that arrogant sense of entitlement that you often see in rich kids who never hear the word no. And, as noted, that became especially apparent during toopergate--he was not about to take no from Joe Bruno.

Meanwhile, as chief executive of a state, Hill could further he creds for the next election, because I think that's what she's doing now. Mathematically, it's all but impossible for her to win without using superdelegates to override the will of the people. So what to do? Use the campaign to tear down Obama so much that he'll lose the general, then run again in four years. I know it sounds cynical, but what good things do you remember Bill and Hillary doing for Kerry?

The one thing I remember President Clinton doing for Kerry is giving the speech where he invoked "one of Clinton's laws of politics...If one candidate is trying to scare you and the other one is try get you to think, if one candidate is appealing to your fears and the other one is appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope."

I remember when he said that, wishing he were back in the White House. He could be so good when he wanted to be. But not all the time, as we know...
